Online Pre-Application & Pick-Up In Person

The Sevier County Clerk’s Office even offers the ability to do the pre-application online. Please note, however, a Tennessee marriage license is only valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. Therefore, don’t do it too soon. Afterwards, you will need to pick your license up from one of the three offices. If you are looking to fill out the pre-application, you can do so at the Sevier County Marriage License Pre-Application.

Lastly, be sure to bring your Tennessee marriage license to your wedding ceremony. Afterwards, the minister will complete the license and file it with the County Clerk. You will receive your official marriage certificate after the wedding in the mail.

Note for Tennessee residents: You may use a marriage license from the county that you reside in. Afterwards, the minister will mail in your license to be recorded. Depending on your county, you will either then be mailed your official marriage documents or will need to pick them up at your local county clerk. However, you will need to ask your local county clerk for the details, as every county clerk’s office is a little different.
